Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) 2019 Options

Updated on 04/19/2019

Online subscriptions are available for so many products these days, so why not subscribe to fresh local produce? That’s essentially what joining a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is, providing a weekly or monthly bundle of seasonal local produce grown with love from a farm – or group of farmers. Although it may seem easier to just head over to the closest grocery store to get what you need, CSA programs are fresher and a lot more convenient than you may expect.

It is easy to forget a lot of the produce that you purchase at the food store are not in season and have traveled many miles to make to the shelves. CSA programs provide you with the freshest produce that does not travel hundreds of miles, and is in season. CSA programs provide you with the opportunity to connect directly with farmers to create a sustainable food system. CSA programs are extremely beneficial for local Farmers because they are given the financial backing they need to make it through the season. It’s a win-win!

Below is a list of CSAs offered in the Lowcountry, complete with contact information and pick-up sites, so you know exactly from who, and where, you’ll be getting this season’s crops. See something missing? Let us know.
